Below are our top 5 selling trees and the most popular to plant in and around Dallas Fort Worth! All of these trees grow well in the area and can be found almost everywhere you look in North Texas. 1. Shumard Red Oak

The Shumard Red Oak is one of the best landscaping tress to plant in Fort Worth due to its high growth rate! If you're looking for a tree that'll grow fast and fill in your yard, this is the one. While these trees can grow to 80 feet, they typically top out at 60' tall and 40' wide. Another popular feature of this tree is its vibrant Red coloration during Fall.

2. Empire Live Oak

The Empire Live Oak is a variety of the Live Oak tree which grows native around Texas. You'll find this to be a very adaptable tree which can handle many different soil types. Note that if you're looking for fall color this is not your tree! Live Oaks are generally an evergreen tree, (which means they stay green year round) though they can lose their leaves in some years; typically during the Spring. This tree grows more slowly than others on this list, but this allows it to grow more evenly.

3. Chinese Pistache

The Chinese Pistache is another best seller due to its high growth rate, adaptability, and vibrant Fall color. During Fall, these trees may show Green, Yellow, and Red all at once! Eventually the entire tree will turn Red, but the process of changing colors will present a vibrant spectrum for you to enjoy. Chinese Pistache will end up smaller than a Shumard Red Oak, only maxing out at around 35' tall and 25' wide.

4. Shantung Maple

The Shantung Maple, particularly the 'Fire Dragon' variety linked above, is known for having some of the most vibrant and thorough coloration of any tree we sell. The Fire Dragon variety will display Red, while the standard variety may present a bright yellow. Both varieties are fast growers and will quickly take root in your yard! Cedar Elms are another Texas staple much like Live Oaks. They're tough and hardy trees which withstand our environment really well. Unlike Live Oaks however, Cedar Elms lose their leaves in the Fall and present a vibrant Yellow color.
