ReoTemp Moisture Meter Calibration
This quick video by ReoTemp demonstrates how to calibrate your Moisture Meter for the most accurate readings!
In the video, Nathan instructs you to take a sample of your soil and add water until it gets to its "ideal setting". In practice, this means the soil is completely saturated with water but it is not flooded. To achieve this level, we recommend filling a clear container with your soil and slowly soaking it with water until you see a little bit of water ponding at the bottom. Once you've reached this point, the soil can't hold anymore water! Put the meter in the soil but do not submerge the end of the meter in the standing water. With the meter's end roughly in the middle of your soil column, adjust the calibration screw as instructed in the video.
